Hi °C | Lo °C The recent announcement that the Minister for Social Development, Margaret Ritchie, has exceeded her target for social housing in Northern Ireland, providing more than 1,838 new homes, clearly demonstrates that she is one of the most effective female ministers and politicians in Ireland. Margaret Ritchie, from her first day as a minister, made it her primary objective to provide more social housing. Strong leadership and delivery will only come from the SDLP - and Margaret.
