Roads Service in a new hole

As a concerned taxpayer and inconvenienced property occupier I am writing to record my dismay that the Roads Service is again digging up most of Belfast’s lower University Street.

This smacks of the recent Cornmarket scenario which we have had to endure in the city centre.

The street was similarly dug up and then reinstated it seems no longer than a year ago and now it is happening again.

Should someone in the Roads Service not be held to account for the lack of forward planning and co-ordination and for the huge cost to the taxpayer of such ineptitude on the part of civil servants.
