I enjoy Robert Fisk's lighter-hearted moments, as when he wrote about his enthusiasm for steam engines (Comment, September 20).
What surprised me was his revelation of an unknown brother named Ian Allen: "Many were the days when Bill Fisk stood . . . while his wretched son, Ian Allen, loco-spotter's book in hand . . . "
Is that an errant comma after 'Allen', or does Mr Fisk have any other siblings? A sister named Jane, perhaps, who writes about warships?
