Ronnie Biggs was an idiot, not a hero

I WOKE last Wednesday to hear the news that Ronnie Biggs had died. Couldn't be bothered to earn an honest living, but played a minor role in a heroic escapade. A dim-witted petty criminal, who was used by the train robbers because they were a man short.

Let's stop pretending he was a hero. He was a coward who only came 'home' when he needed the health service.

Sick of all the homages on the BBC, I flipped channels just in time to hear Lorraine Kelly fawning to the relatives of the Peru Two, who must now miss Christmas with their families. Arrgh.
