Rugby chiefs should keep McLaughlin

Having just returned home from Dublin after witnessing what was one of Ulster rugby's greatest achievements, I feel compelled to write to you over the disloyal treatment of Brian McLaughlin.

Where else in professional sport do you ditch a winning coach? Just look at what the reaction was in the rugby world when South Africa sacked Jake White straight after a successful World Cup.

It is about time the Ulster management paid attention to their fans and made the announcement that we all want to hear: namely that Brian McLaughlin is staying in charge.

What a boost for the team before the final that would be.
