Save lives by bringing home warzone medics

Published 20/02/2014

IN response to the media hype surrounding the crisis in the health service, might I suggest a way which will hopefully save lives here and abroad?

Bring home all the consultants, doctors and medical staff from Afghanistan and have them use their skills in hospitals here.

Simultaneously, bring all the soldiers home after they have destroyed their bombs and bullets. Bring home all the life-saving equipment .

The Afghans can sleep sound in their beds, with no US-led, unwinnable war in their country, and lives will be saved over here.
