It has often been claimed by unionists that Sinn Fein aren't fit for government. From the performance of the Minister for Education, Catriona Ruane, one has to question if this particular Minister is fit for purpose.

In a recent radio interview the Minister appeared more preoccupied with the provision of Irish medium schools than the future of post-primary education generally, yet, with the 11-plus consigned to the history books and time ticking by, parents, and more importantly our post-primary schools, have no idea as to the future.

Not only that, but with education budgets stretched to breaking point, we now learn that we are paying for the education of children living in the Republic. Unusually, the normally highly visible Ms Ruane has been silent on the matter.

Could it be that Sinn Fein, who in the guise of the IRA brought chaos to our streets, are planning to bring chaos to our schools?
