Scoot along to support charity

Published 05/10/2010

I AM part of a vintage scooter club in Carrickfergus called the A2 Aces and we are holding our second Help for Heroes/Poppy Appeal scooter run on Sunday, October 10.

The event is open to all scooterists with the money raised going to the Help for Heroes/Royal British Legion charities.

Last year we had more than 120 Vespa and Lambretta scooters and raised almost £1,000 for these two very worthwhile charities.

The rideout begins at Belfast City Hall at noon and goes via Carrickfergus to Knockagh Monument where wreaths will be placed to remember those from all wars, past and present.

Your readers are welcome to join us at this worthwhile event.
