Scotland loss to the Union flag

Published 02/05/2013

ALL the talk so far about Scotland leaving the UK has been focused on the currency, defence and membership of the EU. I'm wondering what will happen to the flag.

Presumably, the St Andrews cross would be removed from the Union flag, leaving just the crosses of St George and St Patrick. The result would be a red cross and a red X on a white field – very boring.

Maybe the white space should be filled with green, thus giving Wales some representation?
