SDLP is more concerned for British soldiers
I SEE SDLP MP Mark Durkan has signed another Early Day Motion in Westminster about the welfare of former British Army personnel.
While I understand the concern about young men and women who are under the threat of suicide, it is a pity that they don't take the same interest in former combatants in the north.
Rather than look to support former combatants, the SDLP have actually taken a totally opposite position; by ensuring that they are discriminated against by supporting the TUV-sponsored Spad Bill and relegating them down the hierarchy of victims.
It seems the British Army perpetrators of Bloody Sunday, Ballymurphy and other atrocities in the north are further up the SDLP pecking-order of victims than people here suffering similar stresses.
