Once again Sinn Fein are resorting to their old blackmail tactics by blocking meetings of the Assembly unless their particular demands are met.
Moreover, their blatant refusal to take part in the Assembly only goes to destroy the confidence of the public in their ability and willingness to carry on with the process of governance.
Their refusal to attend Assembly meetings is holding up the implementation of important and vital bread and butter issues.
In any case, how can the particular issues which they want resolved be resolved when it is only through Assembly meetings that issues can be properly resolved?
One wonders if Sinn Fein’s real aim is to discredit the whole devolved Northern Ireland Government and get back to peddling their old agenda of trying to label Northern Ireland as a failed political entity etc.
By carrying on with their boycott they are going down the very dangerous road of giving credence to those dissident individuals who are trying to engineer a return to violence and terrorism.
