Sir Rex had more class than Patten
I was sorry to hear of the passing of Sir Rex Hunt, who, as governor, of the Falkland Islands, proudly wore his uniform on the day that he surrendered to Argentina.
Contrast this with the disgraceful action of Lord Patten, as governor of Hong Kong, when it was handed over to China in 1997.
He refused to wear the proper uniform and looked more like a spiv than the Queen's representative. And this man was allowed to become chair of the BBC Trust?
