Something fishy as SNP vote lets Tories off hook
There's something fishy about Nicola Sturgeon's post-UK election statements. Firstly, she stated that the Conservatives won in England because Labour didn't defeat them there and that the Conservative victory was in no way connected with the Scottish Nationalist Party's success in Scotland.
Who does she think she is "codding" among the educated electorate with this red herring?
The SNP leader went on to insist that Scotland simply voted for change and to have its voice heard.
The fact of the matter is that a vote for the SNP denied the Labour Party a vote and was, therefore, a net gain for the Conservative Party.
David Cameron netted this rich catch thanks to Sturgeon, Alex Salmond and their vast shoal of Scots supporters and is now in government for the long haul.
