I AM an 18-year-old student who works at a fast-food chain and would like to point out to disgruntled customers (Write Back, July 9) that, while they can leave after dealing with "sloppy" staff, we can't leave after a sloppy customer. My favourites are customers who are too important to reply to "Hello, how are you?" or, God forbid, actually place the money into your hand.
I am lucky enough to be going to university in September, but I ask those who are quick to tut, or sigh, to spare a thought next time you're at a till for the people who do not have that luxury.
