LIVING and driving in north Belfast, a frequent sight is these new large speed camera vans. They are devoid of chevrons and mostly parked up illegally with all four wheels on the pavement.
We all know too well that speed kills and a policy of zero tolerance is adopted as advertised on TV, which, truthfully, I agree with.
But it is ironic to see mothers with buggies with children in them having to walk on the road to get past them.
One site I have witnessed on two occasions is a few yards up from Glencoe Park on the very busy Antrim Road.
It not only defeats their very purpose but also alienates them from the public.
