Much nonsense has been talked about John Lewis's decision to scrap its Sprucefield plans.
The fact is that the company's plans are now focused on fewer, smaller stores.
It is my guess that John Lewis is grateful to Alex Attwood for clarity on planning policy.
The company can now focus on opening the kind of medium-sized store in Belfast which they recently opened in Exeter city centre.
