THE Belfast Telegraph led one day this week with an article about Mark Townley, a man who was up to almost every scam imaginable, including trying to kill Prince Harry (News, February 11).
The sub-heading highlighted that he was a Muslim convert, rather than a mixed-up conman from Northern Ireland, who didn't seem to follow any Islamic teachings.
However, anti-Islamic sensationalist discourse sells more papers. Sadly, this does nothing for cross-cultural understanding.
