Support vital to charity in difficult time

I REFER to your article 'Now burglars target charity shops' (News, October 14).

Two Simon Community Northern Ireland charity shops in the Co Down area - Ballynahinch and Newtownards - have been broken into in the last two weeks.

As your readers may be aware, there were similar burglaries in other charity shops in this period.

We would like to thank the local community for their continued support at a challenging time. We welcome any donations of clothes and unwanted gifts.

All money generated through fundraising by the Simon Community funds services such as our harm reduction service and rent and deposit bond scheme.

By donating to our shops, you will be playing an important role in ensuring our support helps those who need it most.

Once again, I would like to thank your readers for their continued support.
