Re your published poll about whether it is better to fix the economy by raising the tax or using the cuts (BT 13 June).
Unfortunately the Government opted to tax the poor while the rich had their tax lowered. It would have been fairer to invest money in the economy and create more jobs which would have generated more revenue that would have been used to reduce the deficit. The current economic policy led to a double dip recession.
