Teachers should learn to stay out of family life

THERE is an increasing divide between parents and teachers. I think the majority of us parents have really had enough of dictatorship from schools.

If they're not telling us what to put in our children's lunch-boxes, they're telling us when we're allowed to go on a family holiday.

I see now that they have taken pictures of parents' cars which have been wrongly parked at the schools and taken them to the Press.

They've also decided to tell smoking parents not to smoke outside of the school gates.

I think it's high time teachers realised that it's their job to teach, so maybe they should just get on with that and leave families to live their lives.

Our family lives are none of their business.
