Term 'child porn' shouldn't be used

Published 30/07/2015

I was disappointed to see in your paper (News, July 25) the term "child porn" used both in a headline and in the body of an article.

I believe that most organisations now accept that this is a serious understatement of the crime of child abuse.

I fear that it may actually contribute to internet activity, as it could equate in some minds to legal pornography.

I hope that a change of policy can be implemented.
