Terrorist's jail term not lengthy enough
Once again, I am disappointed and despondent at the sentence handed out to a convicted terrorist in our courts (News, November 29).
The case referred to is of a person convicted of taking part in a so-called "punishment" shooting, in which a man was shot several times in the legs and groin.
The individual was sentenced to five years imprisonment, with a further five years on licence, for this "extremely serious" attack.
Surely, a more lengthy sentence would have been appropriate - particularly given the fact that the two other participants remain at large?
