Thank you for an amazing time

Published 02/07/2015

Having returned home after a week's holiday in Belfast, I am full of admiration for the city.

The folk are welcoming and friendly. On every occasion when I had to refer to a map to get my bearings, it was no sooner opened than we were asked if we needed any help.

Your streets are a credit to those that keep them. I have never before seen a city so clean; the air is crystal clear and the music, restaurants and cafes are second to none.

I wish Belfast people the very best. May your troubles lie in the past and may you stand up and be proud of a vibrant city with a bright future.

I hope to return some day. God bless.
