The Christmas gift of sight

Published 15/12/2010

All I want for Christmas is the gift of sight. It may not be on many Christmas lists, but for more than 30 million needlessly blind people, this is the sad reality.

The charity Sightsavers works to cure and prevent blindness in developing countries and is giving you the chance to transform the lives of some of the world's poorest people by giving a Gift of Sight ( to friends and loved-ones this Christmas.

With just £5 you could pay for a pain-relieving trachoma operation or £17 can buy a cataract op to enable someone to see again.
