Time for action against Islamic State's brutality

WHILE the world's media look at Gaza, hundreds of thousands of Christians, Yazidi, Kurds and other minorities are being displaced and massacred by Islamic State (IS) forces in Iraq and Syria.

Captured females have been taken to a slave market to be sold, or married off. Gruesome pictures and videos on social media show people being beheaded simply for being Christians.

The West looks on in relative silence. There are no mass protests, or boycotts, here. There are no George Galloway statements.

It is time the world took action. Food, water, clothes and, possibly, military intervention are needed.
