I WAS struck by two contrasting news items this week - children in the UK are at risk of developing liver disease because of obesity, while children in the Horn of Africa are dying from hunger.
There is enough food in the world to feed us all. Can we not work to correct the tragic imbalance of food availability?
Surely we, in the affluent part of the world, are to blame for allowing fellow human beings to die from hunger in the 21st century?
