Tourists don't want to see NI

Published 05/09/2012

I emigrated to Canada in 1966 and, since the Troubles began in 1969, I have been unsuccessful in tempting friends and acquaintances to include Northern Ireland in their tours of Ireland.

Now we are treated to photos and videos of the 'land of yobs' once more over here. You could have a marvellous tourist industry and put all those youngsters to work. From our vantage here, the obvious immediate answer is to ban all parades that are sectarian in nature. Simplistic, I know. But how about giving it a try?
