Transport website snoozing on Sunday

Published 21/09/2016

There was a half-marathon in Belfast on Sunday morning. This was going to affect my journey into work, so I turned to the Transport NI website.

This site, provided by the Department for Infrastructure, exists, in their words, “to relay traffic information to the public”.

And what did it have to say on Sunday morning with half of east Belfast in lockdown? “This service is now closed”.

Clearly, the public is in no need of traffic information on a Sunday. Public service? You’re having a laugh.
