While I find taxation debates difficult, it seems to me that the UK Treasury wants its cake and our cake.
We lose part of the block grant, which is more or less money to run the province.
Once a new rate of Corporation Tax kicks in and firms begin to benefit, the Treasury will scoop a generous proportion of their profits as well.
If I have grasped the situation right, this would mean the Treasury pocketing both grant and income from business profits being used to stimulate our economy.
Sounds like Finance Minister Sammy Wilson has a point.
