The treatment of Paddy Jackson following the Ireland defeat to Scotland was disgraceful (News/ Sport, February 25).
He played reasonably well and the reason he has not been place-kicking for Ulster recently has been because of an injury.
Being asked to be first place-kicker on his Ireland debut was a big ask. Unhelpful criticism could do immense damage to this young man's confidence and development.
