Linda Faith-Kelly cannot see the ‘dead wood’ for the trees (Write Back, September 22).
The dead wood being the numerous vacant and derelict shops on the main street.
Just look at the derelict shops at the bottom of the Lodge Road. People see trees as background to the shops which will bring trade and prosperity to the town.
As a native of the town, it certainly put me off another visit.
