TUV MP is the best choice for South Antrim
Friday, 19 March 2010
Mr Cather offers no explanation for why the voting record of double-jobber Rev William McCrea is so poor - even though this was a major issue highlighted in the statement in which I announced my candidacy and which Mr Cather found so objectionable.
As this matter has also been sidestepped by Rev McCrea himself, perhaps Mr Cather could explain why Rev McCrea missed 53% of the votes in the last Parliament - including votes on the Sexual Orientation Regulations which restricted religious liberty and a free speech amendment to 'homophobic hatred' legislation.
Mr Cather claims TUV offers no alternative while ignoring the fact that TUV have repeatedly set out how Northern Ireland, as part of the UK, should have the same form of devolution a Scotland and Wales.
It is high time that South Antrim had a full-time MP to give them effective representation.

Ian,
I'm not affiliated in anyway with the TUV, but perhaps you would get farther by discussing the issues with TUV supporters, instead of calling names. It's rather childish.

Jim Allister and many of his cohorts are nothing more than disgruntled DUP supporters, people who left the DUP over many years for most petty reasons. This letter is clear evidence of just that. Very often they have loined Jim Allister for the reason that they felt they would be a bigger fish in a smaller pool.
There are a few good people supporting the party but certainly none standing in the election. Of course there is virtually no one visible from the party along with Allister who clearly runs his party as his own toy which he hopes to use against the DUP. The party has no real policy or no real substance to its structure. There is considerable evidence that that its vote will flounder in this election after the flash in the pan of the euro elections.

ulysses32 it gives more nausia, to see murderers and the like such as sinn fein, running around lecturing everyone about ethics ,McGunness for instance saying a cardinal should resign for not informing on paedophiles, while his own party has done much more to be ashamed of,its this two faced attitude i feel sickening, more faces than the albert clock. ps i dont mind you running down unionism when they deserve it, i do it myself, however you should also give republicans the same treatment.

The Titanic and the TUV are one and the same a complete disaster! Jim the Ulster people will not let you into power for the big money playing the IRA and Papist cards! As a Unionist myself and others have moved on from your non-politics approach! Just concentrate on making life better with the money you earn now! Meantime in the real world -mass unemployment and health issues need addressed in this recession!

Both UUP and DUP eventually realised that politics is the art of the possible not the impossible. It is taking the TUV a little longer to catch up.
The TUV's 'alternative' is not really an option because it has absolutely no chance of becoming a reality.
The Council election result in Craigavon demonstrated most conclusively that the vast number of unionists realise that a vote for the TUV is a wasted vote.
There are two unionist candidates in South Antrim so unionists have a choice of which party made the better 'fist' of negotiating the best possible option i.e. the 'Good Friday Agreement' or the 'St Andrews Agreement'. The TUV candidate is irrelevant and I think this election will demonstrate that conclusively.

Self-inflicted nausea is a symptom from reading a letter advocating the TUV.
Good luck in getting the "Leprechaun" vote as the TUV appears to have evidence of their existence.
