Ugly face of the Beautiful Game

As the world continues to watch in wonder at the shocking exploitation of the Beautiful Game of soccer by its powerful mandarins, I have become so annoyed and angry by the unfolding circus of events taking place.

Sepp Blatter, the leader of the world governing body that is Fifa, seems untouchable.

The Fifa presidency should be rotated to the different federations of world football in order to put a stop to the seemingly endemic corruption in the running of global soccer.

Michel Platini looked a forlorn figure at the Champions League final - a great player, perhaps wondering why he ever got himself involved in the murky world of football politics.
