Ulster frozen out of UK rates deal

Published 05/12/2012

As we are an integral part of the United Kingdom and the rest of the UK is going into 2013 with the promise of yet another freeze in their local government rates, when is ours going to kick in?

Ratepayers here continue to bury their heads in the sand and hope for the best, while Sammy Wilson and his colleagues will deliver the usual post-Christmas nightmare with yet another hefty rise.

Ratepayers: wake up and lobby your MLAs and councillors for fair play.

If zero increases can work in the rest of the UK, why not here?
