With the hoo-ha surrounding golf presently, it's worth remembering the two men who put the country on the professional stage.
Fred Daly was the first Irishman to win The Open Championship at Royal Liverpool in 1947.
He won the PGA Match Play Championship three times and was Ulster Champion 11 times.
Secondly, Norman Drew was Irish PGA Champion and won The Dunlop Irish Masters.
Time we saluted their triumphs.
