Unlike drivers, cyclists pay no tax or insurance

Malachi O'Doherty complains about drivers' treatment of cyclists (News, May 2).

Drivers have to take driving lessons, pass a test, pay road fund tax and car insurance before they can take a car on the road. Cyclists have none of these.
