Usual rewriting of Israeli history

I WISH to comment on the recently-published article in your paper by Eamonn McCann, headlined 'The world must open its eyes to Israel' (Comment, May 25).

Some of his views and accusations are obviously sourced from the usual Palestinian narratives of lies, untruths and attempts to rewrite history.

To promote this kind of rhetoric is to disregard the truth and I do not intend to embroil myself in a discussion with someone who has very fixed attitudes regarding Israel and the Jewish people.

We have a natural and inborn resistance to withstand the vilification, delegitimisation, boycotts and anti-Semitism that are eagerly hurled against us from so many ill-informed sources, in the knowledge that authentic history and truth is what really matters.
