UUP was right to take a stand

Published 04/09/2015

It's a bit rich for the DUP and Sinn Fein to complain about the UUP's decision to pull out of the Executive.

It appears that the DUP and Sinn Fein have short memories on their own reservations about who and what they were dealing with.

Peter Robinson said at the beginning of power-sharing, "We know what we are getting into" (referring to the tainted reputation of Sinn Fein and their links).

For those demanding cool heads, the UUP has taken a democratic and unanimous decision in taking a stand on what they believe - which they are fully entitled to. Those in glass houses should not throw stones. They might find themselves in exactly the same position in the not-too-distant future.
