Volunteer now to be a heart hero

Published 15/04/2015

British Heart Foundation (BHF) Northern Ireland is calling on people to become "Heart Heroes" and use some of their spare time to volunteer in one of eight local BHF Northern Ireland shops.

We are always on the lookout for more volunteers to join the fight against heart disease. With shops in Belfast, Bangor, Enniskillen, Lisburn, Londonderry, Newry and Portadown, there's always a way you can get involved.

Volunteering in one of our shops for just half-a-day a month could fund one of our scientists to carry out lifesaving research for a whole hour.

You could even volunteer some extra time to clear out your wardrobe - our shops always need more stock.

Your unwanted items help fill the shop shelves and raise valuable funds in the fight against heart disease.

To find your nearest BHF Northern Ireland shop, call 0800 915 1111, or visit
