Vote and honour those who died

Published 24/04/2015

TOMORROW - April 25, 2015 - is the 100th anniversary of the start of the Gallipoli campaign in Turkey during the First World War.

My grandfather, William (Pop) McBride, was there with the Royal Irish and fought across France.

He survived and lived to the ripe old age of 92, but lost his brother and best friend, who were standing beside him at the Somme on July 1, 1916.

Please vote on May 7 and honour their sacrifice.
