Voters should put country first

The members of the Belfast Humanist Group welcome the opportunity that the election offers us to change the politicians that represent us at Westminster.

Our group is not affiliated to any political party and members are free to vote as they wish, but we all acknowledge the important role that good government plays in our lives and we encourage fellow citizens to think carefully before they vote. People should vote for what is best for the whole country - not just for their usual party of preference.

A better Northern Ireland is possible and we should all do whatever we can to make that possibility a reality.

A prosperous, harmonious Northern Ireland is the goal we seek and using our votes effectively is the way to bring it about.
