We should be proud of our immigrants

Published 27/06/2014

OVER the past year there has been a significant increase in racist attacks across Belfast.

Figures show that more than 70% of attacks have taken place in the city centre and the police say that, in some areas, the violence is being carried out by loyalist paramilitaries. These attacks have been disgusting.

The attacks have also been somewhat confusing, as some of the victims have lived in Northern Ireland for their whole lifetime. They are here legally and are contributing to our country's economy. We should be proud to have them here.
