We should have kept the Harrier

After last month's attack on Camp Bastion, when six US Marine Corps Harrier jets were destroyed, it was stated that the Harriers were hated by the Taliban for their deadly efficiency.

One might wonder why the British Harriers were withdrawn, when one never hears comparable praise of the RAF Tornado.

The Tornado is not best-suited for the fight with the Taliban, but it costs £33,000-per-flying-hour.
