Congratulations to Peter Robinson on attending a GAA game (News, January 30).
Plaudits, also, to those progressive members of the GAA who encouraged this important and indeed, totemic encounter.
We must now hope that such an initiative cascades down through the organisation itself, so that offensive references to republican terrorism are cleansed from the names of trophies and clubs.
Another useful step would be for the GAA to use Ulster Scots as well as Irish in all of its insignia. This would encourage Protestants to play the sport.
