We're all to blame for our shambolic politics
You report (News, April 25) that the DUP and Sinn Fein are now in an acrimonious dispute over which party is to blame for the public spending cuts.
I have always voted on the principle of keeping the worst out - that is the DUP and Sinn Fein.
Alas, the Northern Ireland electorate, in its wisdom, throws caution to wind at election time and habitually votes tribally.
Hence, the ultimate blame for who is responsible for the political and budgetary shambles we are constantly in lies with the Northern Ireland electorate.
As Cassius says in Act I of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar: "The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, but in ourselves."
