What about drink dangers?

So all smoking products are to be put out of sight. We know that smoking causes many deaths, but can we now look forward to alcohol being treated in the same way?

More people die of alcohol related problems than of smoking.

Tens of thousands die of liver disease through drinking. It causes many road deaths and we must not forget how many families are affected by excessive drinking with many marriages breaking up.

I wonder if the lack of a ban on drink is anything to do with the huge taxes which the Government rakes in from alcohol? As for the so-called strict rules on selling drinks to youngsters, I have seen children of about 12 years of age buying drink at supermarkets.

It would be interesting to hear the comments of a Government official on this matter.
