What an insult to the victims

Published 05/12/2009

According to Police Federation chairman Terry Spence: "It is extremely difficult being a police officer in Northern Ireland today."

How easily he seems to have forgotten those officers who served through the worst of the Troubles.

Those who joined for an easy pension now have the cheek to say this (protecting the community, no less) was not what they signed up for. They are an insult to those who have already given their lives for this facade of peace.
