What's situation with bisexuals?

Published 27/05/2015

Members of the LGBT community have been celebrating the result of the referendum in the Republic. Some have given interviews.

However, in spite of all the media coverage, I have not yet heard or read of the following question being asked or answered: if a homosexual man can marry a man and a homosexual woman can marry a woman, does this mean that a bisexual person can marry a man and a woman?

The follow-up questions being: would such a marriage be exempt from bigamy laws? And what happens if the individual's husband and wife do not wish to be related to each other by marriage?
