When 'Brirish' eyes are smiling

Regarding the dilemma of sportspersons wanting to span national and cultural links between the British and Irish traditions, would it not be possible to use a new term for this: Brirish?

There is only one letter of a difference between the two identities in this form. It could even be shortened to Bririt and Bririts.
