Why didn't Irish help the Jews?

The Irish Green Party that inspected the Rachel Corrie that is heading to Gaza erroneously stated that the ship does not carry weapons.

That is because they don't understand that cement is what bunkers are made of. Cement is a weapon.

Where were the Irish ships in the 1940s when Britain blockaded the coast of Israel so that Jews could not escape there from Hitler? Why is it more important for Irish activists to help arm a Muslim terrorist regime than it was to save Jewish lives?
